Dave has completely changed my life. It’s now been a year since I passed my driving test, and I’ve driven nearly 13,000 miles with newfound confidence—all because of him. He was patient and understanding of my ADHD, recognizing that I learn differently (like needing the radio on to help me relax). The support I received wasn’t just about driving; it was about the confidence that came from knowing someone believed in me. I still use his motto to this day: ‘Forget about it, drive on, and keep moving forward.’
If you’ve ever had your confidence knocked and thought about giving up on driving, don’t! This man won’t just help you with driving, but with believing in yourself too. Thank you, Dave—you’re a legend. By the way, I haven’t scratched or crashed the car yet, so I think you’d be proud!

Dave has been amazing throughout my driving journey, I've had some major obstacles to overcome and he's been there every step of the way. He's patient and understanding, Dave will get you through your driving , it doesn't matter what level you're at. Thank you Dave for being there , I couldn't have done it without your encouragement and patience

10/10 instructor. Dave brought my confidence up immensely when driving. I was previously a very nervous driver. Since moving to Dave, he made driving feel so much easier and simplified everything down down for me with a lot of patience whilst doing so-even for the silly questions!
He helped me go from never thinking I’d see the day I was on the roads to passing my test with ease. A lovely man with some good jokes too! Definitely recommend.

Dave is an excellent instructor and a great bloke to boot.
He is patient and understands when to give help and when to praise your successes.

Wouldn't choose anyone else.
Dave is an extremely patient person, very easy going and teaches you techniques that are easy and simple to understand and apply to your driving. He gives you all the tools required to pass and more! Cannot thank him enough for all he has done for me. Would recommend time and time again.

Dave is the best instructor for either a complete beginner or with some previous experience. He took me on as an anxious driver and inside 6 weeks had me come out of my test with a pass! Calm, reassuring and supportive while making sure you have all you need to get through your test and beyond as a safe and skilled driver. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn to drive in the Aberdeen area.

Dave is a really good instructor, very relaxed and knows what he's doing. He makes sure you're comfortable in the car and is very patient with your learning. He has a good approach for teaching manoeuvres and getting you ready for your test. Would highly recommend to anyone!

I started as a complete Novice driver back in February with Dave. I had no prior driving experience and was probably one of Dave's older students. What I liked about Dave is that before I bulk booked any sessions Dave wanted me to see how we were together beforehand as obviously everybody learns in different ways. This I thought shows a real integrity and already made me feel at ease.
I booked 20hours initially and then we ended up in lockdown. I booked a further 10 hours just after lockdown so I was test ready as my test was meant to be during lockdown.
I can proudly announce that I passed first time. This was all down to the teaching Dave gave me, he was patient and has an all round good Manor in finding your best way of learning. Thank you Dave

100% Recommend! The Best Driving Instructor
Dave is the best driving instructor that there is! He has the patience of a saint and teaches you at your own individual pace! The way he teaches his lessons is fantastic and they are simple and easy to follow. He gives you lots of time to practice each new skill and he is always happy to go over things that you are unsure about. He really helps to improve your confidence with tricky manoeuvres and situations and I highly recommend him as I managed to pass my test within 12 weeks of my first lesson! The best driving instructor out there by far! Thank you so much for all your help Dave!

Dave helped me pass first time. He was very patient and informative with what he was telling me to do. Also, very reliable and a nice guy.

Dave taught me to drive as a complete beginner who was very nervous about driving. He was very patient and was great at putting me at ease during lessons. He was always reliable, on time for lessons and there was always a good level of communication. Lessons were structured and consistent. I would recommend Dave to anyone I know wanting to learn to drive.

Couldn’t have done it without him!
Dave was a great instructor, he put me at ease from the start and created a relaxed environment during our lessons. He always explained very well what I had to do while driving and how to perform the manoeuvres. He was consistent with his teaching methods and reviewed what had been done in the previous lessons which helped me stay on top of my driving. All in all Dave was a pleasure to learn driving with, I have and would recommend him to friends!

Best around
Dave is a very good driving instructor, very friendly and puts you at ease. I highly recommend using him as he managed to get me to pass 1st time. He has a great way of teaching you menovres to get them absolutely spot on everytime. The car he has is brilliant too, he is very accommodating and have already recommended him to my friends and family

Excellent Instructor
Can't recommend Dave Shepherd enough. Makes you feel at ease immediately and really makes you feel relaxed. My son is 17 and applying for his provisional license. Will be using Dave to teach him.

I was a nervous, no experience, older learner. Dave was friendly and put me at ease straight away. With his help through well structured lessons I passed first time!
